Frans van Tartwijk

Is an experienced and authentic portrayer of our Western world. Realistic and weird, light and heavy: it is constantly intertwined. We recognize much of what we see without ever being able to see it that way. We might think Frans makes fun of this society we know, but in further consideration his paintings seems rather painful. Frans van Tartwijk turns out to be a very serious artist.
